De
afgelopen maand heeft JT weer een aantal concerten gegeven in Europa.

November 2009 / April 2010: Tournee
Nieuwe DVD / CD in mei 2010 van het eerste Reunion concert
In
november 2009 werd in Amerika bekend gemaakt dat James Taylor en Carole
King samen op tournee gaan, onder de titel '2010 Troubadour Reunion
World Tour'. Het oorspronkelijke plan was dat deze tournee ze samen
langs alle continenten zou voeren, en dat dus ook Europa zou worden aangedaan.
Het goede nieuws is dat deze tournee zó succesvol is, dat aan de
Amerikaanse versie ervan maar geen eind lijkt te komen. Voorlopig is er
een planning tot eind juli 2010.
Het
slechte nieuws is helaas, dat er nog helemaal
niets bekend is over eventuele Europese plannen. Het ziet er voorlopig
niet naar uit dat er een Europese tour zal komen.
De
tournee begon in Australië (27 maart), Nieuw-Zeeland en Japan, en
op 14 mei 2010 zal er een concert plaatsvinden in de Hollywood Bowl in
L.A.
Verdere data zullen nog bekend gemaakt worden.

Nieuwe
"Live at the Troubadour" DVD/CD
Op 4 mei 2010 zal er in de USA een nieuwe DVD/CD set worden uitgebracht
van James Taylor en Carole King op het Hear Music label. Het album heeft
de titel "Live at the Troubadour" en het bevat het optreden
van deze legendarische singer-songwriters in The Troubadour, Santa
Monica Boulevard, L.A., 2007, in HD-video en 5.1 audio.
De band bij het optreden in 2007 bestond uit Danny 'Kootch' Kortchmar, Leland Sklar en Russ Kunkel.

De samenwerking tussen beiden dateert overigens al van heel lang geleden. Hierbij een opname uit 1971. Die met dat lange haar achter de gitaar is James; die met dat lange haar achter de piano is Carole. Die met die basgitaar en dat lange haar is Lee (Leland) Sklar en de congaïst (met dat lange haar) is Russel Kunkel.
